Every spring I find myself creating with bird imagery.There is something about birds that delights my soul.There quick,bright movement and joyful sounds.They are a tonic.This collage is 6"x6"x1",mixed media on wood and is available for purchase.

Pink!

It is no secret that pink is my favorite colour.I usually try and keep that impulse to use pink in line.A little bit here,maybe a splash there.This little collage has a bit more than a hint of pink.It is 4"x4"x2",mixed media collage on wood and is on it's way to West of the Moon,111 E.Aspen,Flagstaff,Arizona.

Collages

I have just finished several collages.This one is on a 4"x4"x2" wooden artist support.I use acrylic,paper,ink and just about anything else that happens to be handy.The little doves flying above the peony are Victorian scrap.Sold

New Day

This image is a bit foggy.I had just brought my camera into the warm studio from being outside.I like it.It softens the hard edges of the freshly gessoed wooden painting surfaces awaiting their coats of paint and paper.

Sheep

Yesterday while I was driving to town I pasted a small farm that keeps a flock of sheep.I saw a tiny,wobbly lamb trying to gain his earth legs.So small next to all the adult sheep.I think he was the first baby for this flock this spring.It made my heart smile.

Collage

I really love creating small collages.Gathering all the bits and arranging them on a painted surface.It's play!
When they are finished,they always remind me of something almost forgotten.
